Ultimately, the introduction of new heroes and villains means returning characters must grow as well. As a result, Thor needs to be challenged in order for the MCU to further develop his character and perhaps unlock Mjolnir's other big power. The power of the Ten Rings compared to Mjolnir is evidence of this. Thor proved himself to be one of the strongest Avengers throughout the Infinity Saga however, the MCU Phase 4 has shown that there are indeed stronger beings out there. If anything, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings presents an opportunity for the God of Thunder and his hammer to advance in the MCU. This isn't to say that Thor or Mjolnir are relics of the MCU past. Some plugins exist that can be used by adding some files to a specific folder, but this will not give the flexibility that is so key to Hammerspoon. The power of the Ten Rings, in a way, serves as the perfect bridge between martial arts expert Shang-Chi and his more mystically inclined counterparts. Hammerspoon is scripted in the Lua programming language, and some familiarity with programming in general will be needed to use it. Evidently, the lines between gods, galactic beings, and (super)humans are becoming blurrier as the MCU grows. In fact, the upcoming Eternals film will introduce a power that can melt Thor's hammer. Naturally, Mjolnir is no longer paradigmatic of magic and power in the way that it was during the MCU's more grounded phases. ![]() Though it's unlikely that Shang-Chi will delve into or even include the Ten Rings' Makluan comics backstory, the current phase of the MCU has exponentially expanded its scope of the mystical and the cosmic. From this perspective, the Ten Rings literally outnumber Mjolnir in terms of abilities and power levels. Furthermore, Mandarin became a formidable foe after he acquired the rings and trained himself to unlock and master each individual power. In the comics, the rings were actually alien technology created by the Makluans, an alien dragon-like species, and contained the souls and powers of legendary cosmic warriors. The reality is that Shang-Chi, in addition to the titular hero's origin story, functions as a sort of course-correct for the MCU, essentially fixing Iron Man 3's fake villain twist that whittled down Mandarin and the Ten Rings to a simple punchline. If it feels like Shang-Chi is overpowering the Ten Rings, that's because it needs to. Related: Shang-Chi Shows How Powerful He Can Be As An Avenger However, judging from the Rings' display of strength enhancement, energy projection, and elemental manipulation in the trailers so far, it's certain that they will be like nothing ever before seen in the MCU. Of course, it isn't clear yet how much of the Rings' comic origins will translate into Shang-Chi. That being said, their comics history is complex and even reminiscent of Mjolnir's in that they, too, were not made on Earth and, what's more, possess cosmic properties. If you do so, the only way to quit the app is by killing the process (with Activity.app or killall Memmon). How the Ten Rings' powers work in the MCU remains to be confirmed. You can hide the status icon either via the same-titled menu entry. Otherwise, you can’t move other application windows around and the app has no purpose. Go to “System Preference” > “Security & Privacy” > “Accessibility” and add Memmon to that list. ![]() Grant Memmon the Accessibility privilege.Secondly, it does one thing and one thing only: Save and restore window positions whenever your monitor setup changes. Or just build it from scratch if you like (just run make). What is it good for?įirst off, Memmon is just 130 lines of code – no dependencies. But I do not need a full-fledged window manager. Honestly though, you wont find much if anything, thats free with a compatible feature set. Yes, for example Mjolnir or Hammerspoon (and some comercial ones). It completely depends on what you want to use Keyboard Maestro for. Is it macOS 11? Is it the USB-C-to-HDMI converter dongle (notably one made by Apple)? Why do I have to fix things that Apple should have fixed long ago? … Aren’t there other solutions? I am frustrated! Why does my Mac forget all window positions which I moved to a second screen? Every time I unplug the monitor. ![]() Memmon remembers what your Mac forgets – A simple deamon that restores your window positions on external monitors.
